Meyer Sound expands Milan product line with four more certified products!

Author:

Meyer Sound adds four more speaker products certified by Milan independent terminals-ULTRA-X20, ULTRA-X22 and ULTRA-X23 full-range speakers and USW-112P compact ultra-low frequency speakers, which can be directly connected to AVB network based on Milan interoperability protocol. At the same time, Meyer Sound announced that the new Milan input version of the above products will be put into production immediately and has now begun receiving orders.

Meyer Sound

Meyer Sound's new Milan certified speaker made its debut at the 153rd AES exhibition in new york from October 19 to 20. We showed related products in exhibition halls 2D06 and 2D07 of Jacob Javits Center (Jacob Javits Center). PANTHER large linear array speaker was one of our key products. At the same time, we demonstrated the extraordinary auditory experience provided by Amie studio monitoring system according to customer demands.

Meyer Sound PANTHER linear line array speakers have passed the test of actual cases. Using Milan certified switches, the Milan input module can receive audio signals from any Milan certified audio source. Only one RJ45 connector can support the transmission of high-definition digital audio and remote monitoring telemetry data, thus simplifying installation and reducing costs.

Andy Davies, Senior Product Manager at Meyer Sound, said: "The debut of these four Milan-certified speakers marks a significant milestone in the evolution of networked audio and video systems built on the IEEE Open Standards User Agreement. System designers can save on wiring and installation labor costs when configuring systems for new building spaces, and when updating systems, can leverage existing Gigabit Ethernet network cabling. Therefore, whether it is system configuration or update, it has the unique wiring flexibility of digital networks."

The emergence of Milan certified audio systems not only simplifies the management and control of the entire network audio and video solution, but also uses the infrastructure of the information technology industry to configure the system to reduce costs. The network solution also maintains a fully digital workflow from the initial to the terminal, avoiding the delay increase and performance impairment of the signal conversion stage.

Davies added: "The Milan network protocol is quickly becoming the digital transmission solution of choice because it preserves the bandwidth of the signal while maintaining latency and time to send. In fact, for many application scenarios, it is the only digital transmission solution that can meet the technical requirements. In addition, as an open standard, it will run through the life cycle of the product. Meyer Sound products have a decades-long life cycle, so network technology must reach the same level."

Meyer Sound

Meyer Sound's Milan certified speakers now offer the benefits of an end-to-end network solution for a variety of application scenarios, including but not limited to businesses and hotels, theme parks and themed shows, churches and retail spaces. Davies commented: "The Milan-based network ecosystem is expanding rapidly, with a major mixer manufacturer now shipping their Milan certified products, and we are also witnessing the introduction of new terminals and the increasing selection of Milan certified switches. At the same time, we can already see the benefits of joining the Avnu Alliance and the new speaker testing method. We are excited about the number of new products and manufacturers expected to join the Milan family in the next few years."

Except for the differences in input modules, Meyer Sound speakers with Milan-certified terminal modules are the same as standard analog input speakers. Although each speaker in the ULTRA-X20 series is lightweight (12.3kg) and compact, they all have high sound pressure levels corresponding to their respective sizes. For example, a maximum sound pressure level of 128.5 dB(M-Noise) is ULTRA-X22 over an operating frequency range of 60 Hz-18 kHz. The performance of the USW-112P compact ultra-low frequency speaker (21.4kg) is also very good, with a maximum sound pressure level of 123 dB in the operating frequency range of 35 Hz-140 Hz.

Meyer Sound

When these products are equipped with Milan certified input modules, the user panel includes new Neutrik etherCON TOP network connectors and powerCON TOP AC line connectors to prevent connection effects during inclement weather. At the same time, it can realize remote monitoring function with public network without separate wiring. The weather protection option provides comprehensive IP54 protection and allows outdoor system configuration without a rain cover.

The ULTRA-X20 series offers three optional cover versions, plus a rotatable horn and a variety of accessory options. The variety of options makes the system extremely flexible and can be adapted to both home rental or fixed installation needs. The inclusion of this series of products in the Milan ecosystem, along with powerful USW-112P, further enhances the flexibility and application range of Meyer Sound solutions.

At the AES exhibition in new york, Meyer Sound also announced a new software for connection management and monitoring. During the exhibition, members of Meyer Sound's technical team demonstrated on the tablet.
